Regional Communications Infrastructure Program (Phase 2) – Rwanda
Phase 2 of the World Bank’s Regional Communications Infrastructure Program (RCIP) strengthened the management and technical skills of government ICT sector agencies in Rwanda, including to address issues related to cyber security.
Central African Backbone – Congo
The project assisted the Republic of Congo in developing legislation on cybersecurity, cybercrime and ICT that was passed between 2016 and 2020. It was part of a larger programme to increase the geographical reach and usage of regional broadband network services and reduce their prices in Central Africa.

African Commonwealth National Cyber Risk Assessment Community
This project supports African Commonwealth countries with capacity building work packages that are tailored to help address the most critical risks and capacity gaps that were identified by the earlier National Cyber Risk Assessment project with 10 Commonwealth countries in Africa during 2019-2020.
Chevening Cyber and Tech Scholarship
The project funded 3 scholars from The Gambia, Uganda and Zambia who completed their Masters on the Chevening programme from Sept 2020 – August 2021. A further 3 scholars from the Solomon Islands, Pakistan and Kenya will start their Masters in Sept 2021 – August 2022.
