Canada’s support to the OAS and its Member States to prevent, combat and mitigate cybersecurity threats in the Americas (Phase 2)

The project supports the OAS and its member states to prevent, combat and mitigate cybersecurity threats in the Americas. This will be achieved through international cooperation as a result of the implementation of National Cybersecurity Strategies, and greater participation in the dialogue on international norms in cyberspace.

Creating a Career Path in Cybersecurity

The program has provided training to economically disadvantaged youths and young adults (ages 18-25) in ten OAS Member States, with the objective of exposing them to technical training in cybersecurity and promoting their professional development in this field.

OAS – AWS Sponsorship Agreement 2022

This collaboration between Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Organisation of American States is building a replicable and scalable mechanism to help countries design their roadmap to accelerate cybersecurity maturity step-by-step, following the CMM methodology.
