2024 Cybersecurity Skills Gap – Global Research Report

Breaches continue to take a financial toll—and senior leaders are penalized when they happen. When writing the 2024 report, Fortinet looked at cybersecurity skills challenges through five lenses: business leaders’ priorities, the threat landscape, cybersecurity strategies, the value of certifications, and hiring from diverse talent pools. The 2024 report includes new questions, designed to dig deeper, that reveal why this is the case and highlight companies’ increasingly holistic approach to fighting cyberthreats. It reveals that when it comes to cybersecurity in 2024, the stakes are high for organizations. Breaches continue to take a financial toll—and senior leaders are penalized when they happen.
