Core members of the national task force who have the mandate to reach out to other stakeholders and the general public.

The organisations which make up the national task force are:

  • Police (Cybercrime unit, INTERPOL, community police unit, and the Criminal Investigation Department (CIID)
  • National Information Technology Authority (NITA)
  • Uganda Communications Commission (UCC)
  • Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control
  • Ministry for Foreign Affairs
  • Internal Security Organisation (ISO)
  • UNICEF
  • Uganda Youth Development Link
  • Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP)
  • Child Help Centre in the Ministry for Gender, Labour and Social Development
  • Ministry for Education and Sports

Activities

  • Capacity-building
  • Information sharing on regulatory mechanisms, rights-based – law enforcement, ways to enhance cooperation and provide mutual support in the management of cyber challenges.
