Aim

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States Commission engaged NRD Cyber Security to develop a Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) establishment plan for Grenada, Dominica, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The plan outlined a common framework for national CIRTs, including structure, services, resources, and a roadmap for implementation, aligned with international best practices.

Context

NRD Cyber Security worked in collaboration with the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (implementing agency) and CARICOM IMPACS (technical quality review).

Outcomes

The project enables beneficiary countries to establish national CIRTs, enhancing their ability to prevent and respond to cyber threats. It has also strengthened regional cooperation and is likely to improve overall cybersecurity resilience across the Eastern Caribbean.

Activities

Stakeholder Consultations: workshops were held with national and regional stakeholders to assess the level of readiness for creating a national CIRT.

Readiness Assessment Report: Summarized current capabilities, identified preliminary requirements, and provided context for CIRT development.

CIRT Establishment Plan: Outlined services, structure, resources, and a step-by-step roadmap for setting up national CIRTs.
