Aim

This project involved cybersecurity training for the Bank of Botswana board and senior management. The overall objective of the project was to strengthen the Bank of Botswana’s cyber security resilience, governance and risk management.

Context

Cybersecurity training for the Bank of Botswana board and senior management. One day training in person took place in Botswana.

Outcomes

It is frequently observed that senior management is not always adequately aware of the cybersecurity risks present within the organisation. The training programme was designed to assist management in developing a comprehensive understanding of the challenges confronting the bank in the realm of cybersecurity. A key objective of the programme was to equip management with the skills necessary to evaluate the adequacy and sufficiency of the measures implemented to address these challenges. It is imperative that these qualities are recognised as being essential for the purpose of strengthening the organisation’s cybersecurity posture and optimising resource allocation.
