European Cybersecurity Skills Conference 2023
ENISA has announced the 2nd edition of the annual European Cybersecurity Skills Conference. This year the conference will focus on sharing and discussing progress linked to the promotion and endorsement of the ENISA Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF). The conference will also address ENISA’s role as part of the European Commission initiative: The Cybersecurity Skills Academy.
The conference will provide an opportunity to: bring the cybersecurity-skills community together, facilitating the exchange of experiences challenges and good practices, as a result of ECSF implementation; discuss different ways to improve and synergize ENISA-ECSF with other related initiatives at EU and Member States’ level; and raise awareness on the need to promote multi-stakeholder cooperation on cybersecurity skills.
The conference is organised under the auspices of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU, in collaboration with the Spanish Ministry of Education and the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE).

The Threathunt 2030 Conference
The Threathunt 2030 conference is a unique opportunity for experts, concerned and interested participants to focus on the emerging cybersecurity threats of the future and debate on how the Union and Member States can best foresee, identify, prevent and respond to them.
In this one-day conference, ENISA will host a series of interactive panels on various aspects of future cybersecurity threats with a vision for a 2030 scenario built upon ENISA work done on cybersecurity foresight. The aim is to discuss pertinent topics and more importantly to establish the foundation for a long-standing community of involved partners that will continue to engage and bring forward the vision of a cyber secure Europe.

INTERPOL Global Cybercrime Conference (IGCC) 2023
The INTERPOL Global Cybercrime Conference (IGCC) will be held from 15 to 17 October 2023 in Singapore. Under the theme of “Creating Communities to Protect Communities”, the Conference brings together leaders from law enforcement, the private sector, international organizations, academia, and other key entities from around the world to enhance and strengthen cooperation between law enforcement and strategic stakeholders in the global cyber ecosystem to counter and combat cybercrime effectively.
In line with the objectives of INTERPOL’s Global Cybercrime Strategy 2022 – 2025 and key findings on cybercrime from the 2022 INTERPOL Global Crime Trend Report, the conference will comprise four blocks featuring presentations and panel discussions on countering and combatting cybercrime through (i) Prevention, (ii) Detection, (iii) Investigation and (iv) Disruption. There will be a particular focus on case studies, best practices and examining potential areas of synergies and collaboration. In addition to the main conference on 16 October, a series of workshops and roundtables will be held to provide participants with the opportunity to engage with global and regional experts in the field.

Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) 2023
The 8th Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) is taking place from 16 to 19 October 2023. The theme of this year’s SICW is “Building Trust and Security in the Emerging Digital Order”. It will explore the impact of digital developments on the global multilateral order, and how security can be developed to enable trust in the digital and cyber space. Key SICW 2023 events include the SICW Summit, the SICW Ministerial Roundtables, and a series of SICW Sessions focusing on diverse cybersecurity policy, operational, technical and diplomacy topics. The SICW will also hold the closed-door ASEAN Ministerial Conference on Cybersecurity and Special Session for our ASEAN and Dialogue Partners.

Online Status Check of the Proposal for a UN Cyber Programme of Action
The Cyber Program of the Stimson Centre is hosting an online discussion about the proposal for a UN Cyber Programme of Action (PoA).
This online event is intended as a way for stakeholders to hear directly from the UN Secretariat about the current status of the cyber PoA – what has happened so far, what happens next? – in an effort to demystify and clarify the process. It will also be an opportunity for UNIDIR to provide a preliminary and informal overview of the inputs it has received and learn about initiatives to better coordinate amongst stakeholders. While the event is not closed to government representatives, preference will be given during the Q&A to non-governmental stakeholders.

Microsoft and the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI): Workshop ‘Examining the finance and energy sectors’ cyber hygiene maturity’
This workshop is part of the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) and Microsoft multistakeholder compendium initiative titled “Protecting strategic sectors from cyberattacks”.
The first workshop focused on prevalent cyber threats, and how cyber hygiene practices could be the solution to address risks. The next two workshops focused on sectors that are at different stages of their cyber hygiene maturity, the second one centred on the healthcare sector and this third one is on the more mature sectors of finance and energy. Finally, the last workshop will reflect on the main recommendations from the previous discussions.
The whole workshop series will be held in English, with simultaneous translation to Portuguese, and aims to identify lessons learned and recommendations to avoid and/ or mitigate the effects of cyberattacks on strategic sectors, culminating in the development of a multistakeholder compendium on best cyber hygiene practices.

Cybersecurity Summer BootCamp 2023
The Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE) and the Organization of American States (OAS) is hosting its eighth edition of the Cybersecurity Summer BootCamp 2023.
This specialized cybersecurity training program aims to provide participants with intensive, hands-on training in relevant topics on the latest techniques for combating cybercrime, cybersecurity incident management and the legislative aspects to be taken into account in all of them.
Parties will belong to one of the following groups:
• CERTs: Technical personnel who work in Incident Response Centers (CERTs or CSIRTs).
• Security forces and bodies: Members of security forces and bodies who work in operational units related to cybersecurity
• Policymakers: Active staff belonging to the judicial or prosecutorial careers, state lawyers, justice administration officials and staff of regulatory or legislative bodies who work in areas related to the legal and regulatory aspects of cybersecurity.
It will feature a series of practical workshops, keynote lectures and tracks given by international cybersecurity experts, designed to provide an enriching and unique learning experience for participants.

European energy grids’ security in a changed landscape: Closing the skills gap and getting prepared
The Energy Forum week in Athens will host an offline and as well as online conference for the 6th Edition of the Cybersecurity event, jointly organized by the Association of European Distribution System Operators (E.DSO), the European Network for Cyber Security (ENCS), the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) to discuss 'Cybersecurity on European energy grids’ security in a changed landscape - closing the skills gap and getting prepared'.
The event is held in partnership with the European Energy - Information Sharing & Analysis Centre (EE-ISAC).
This year the conference will bring together experts in the field of grid cybersecurity to exchange on the latest developments in the threat landscape and how realistic exercising can develop better skills and increase preparedness for cybersecurity incidents.
Topics and questions include: Are European partners prepared for large scale cyberattacks to the European grid? Will upcoming European regulations on cybersecurity help to effectively and efficiently increase preparedness or are there still pitfalls and gaps that require attention?
