Strengthening Capabilities to Address Cybersecurity Threats and Combat Cybercrime in the Americas

Summary

This project aims to enhance the capacity of the OAS member states and other cybersecurity stakeholders to prevent and respond to threats posed by transnational cybercriminal activity and terrorism. This project entails a mix of national, regional and international-level activities. National activities are be tailored to specific needs of member states, following up on previous capacity-building efforts implemented by OAS in a given country and building on achievements to date. Regional activities foster the sharing of information and experiences among member states, cooperation among CSIRTs, as well as hemispheric dialogue on confidence-building in the cyberspace. International-level activities are geared toward giving a stronger voice to countries of the Americas in global cyberspace initiatives.
