Summary

On April 3, 2024, Tirana, Albania, hosts a cyber exercise designed as an interactive, non-technical tabletop simulation aimed at high-level decision-makers, including experts in security and strategic communication. The event is organized under the EU Cybersecurity Capacity Building in the Western Balkans initiative, led by the Estonian e-Governance Academy in collaboration with the Dutch non-profit organization CILC.

The National Cyber and Information Security Agency (NÚKIB) is represented by Irena Adler Pavelková and Miroslava Čavojská from the Exercise Unit, who are directly involved in developing the exercise scenario, presenting it, and moderating the discussions.

In partnership with the Albanian National Authority for Electronic Certification and Cyber Security (AKCESK), the exercise features a scenario centered on a simulated cyber crisis in the banking sector, highlighting the multifaceted nature of cyber threats. The simulation aims to address Albania’s new cybersecurity legislation and focus on enhancing cooperation and crisis communication among participating institutions. The event also welcomes Albania’s Deputy Prime Minister, Bellinda Balluku, who supports the project and emphasizes the importance of strengthening national cyber resilience.
