Summary

Since 2016, ISP has been delivering a cyber-practitioners’ course aimed at government officials and policy professionals whose role requires knowledge and understanding of key issues of international cyber policy.

As cyber policy becomes an increasingly important area of international governance and security policy, this course aims to arm professionals with the essential tools and latest development in the area of cyber policy to understand the overarching issues and know where to go to find further analysis and expertise.

The cyber practitioners’ course is delivered by Chatham House experts and associates, all of whom have professional and research expertise in cyberspace and policy.

The course can be tailored to suit clients’ needs – with options to incorporate elective modules – but is generally structured in three parts:
1. The principles of cyber, technology and the internet,
2. The intelligence and security implications of cyberspace,
3. Cybersecurity and fighting cybercrime: Global and regional governance efforts.
While this course has traditionally been held in person at Chatham House, the training has been adapted so that the course can be delivered in three/four interactive online sessions.
