Summary
The European Union is continuing its efforts to enhance the cyber resilience of Sri Lanka through a training program scheduled for 26 to 28 August 2024 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This training will focus on improving the incident response process and addressing existing gaps in the nation’s cybersecurity framework.

Aim
The aim of this training is to continue the EU’s efforts to improve the cyber resilience of Sri Lanka by focusing on enhancing the incident response process and addressing gaps in the nation’s cybersecurity.
Context
Scheduled from 26 to 28 August 2024 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, this training program will bring together various stakeholders to discuss and evaluate key aspects of Sri Lanka’s cybersecurity landscape.
Outcomes
Expected outcomes of the training include improved incident response capabilities and a clearer understanding of existing gaps within Sri Lanka’s cybersecurity framework.
Outputs
The main output will be a report summarizing the discussions on the Security Incident Management Maturity Model (SIM3), the upcoming cybersecurity act, and evaluations of the technologies and tools utilized by Sri Lanka CERT.
Activities
Activities will include a review and discussion of the SIM3, an examination of the upcoming cybersecurity act, assessments of technologies and tools used by Sri Lanka CERT, sessions on mobile device security, and training in digital forensics and incident response (DFIR).
