Summary
The project supports the OAS and its member states to prevent, combat and mitigate cybersecurity threats in the Americas. This will be achieved through international cooperation as a result of the implementation of National Cybersecurity Strategies, and greater participation in the dialogue on international norms in cyberspace.
Details
Aim
This project aims to reduce the full range of threats to Canada while promoting an open, secure and resilient cyberspace.
Context
This project works alongside the development of the Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs), to improve cross border information sharing through the CSIRTamericas.org platform, and through the implementation of the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime globally.
Outcomes
This project supports target training and travel support for state representative to increase their participating in the UN cybercrime and cybersecurity negotiations. This funding will be mainly used to support the Women in Cyber Fellowship.
