International cooperation on cybercrime prevention, investigation and prosecution using emerging technologies: challenges and opportunities

This webinar aims to highlight avenues for international collaboration to effectively combat cybercrime committed using emerging technologies and to harness the potential of these technologies to assist the work of criminal justice authorities, and provide a platform for exchange of best practices and resources.
Carried out the GLACY+ Project in cooperation with APWG.EU, the activity aims to:
- discuss the possible challenges and opportunities regarding international cooperation to prevent, investigate and prosecute cybercrime using emerging technologies;
- present and exchange best practices and resources on international private-public cooperation on cybercrime prevention and investigation using new technologies.
At the end of the webinar, participants are expected to have:
- increased their knowledge of specific methods of international collaboration to prevent, investigate and prosecute cybercrime using new technologies;
- acquired information about best practices, real-life cases, opportunities and challenges in international cooperation on cybercrime using new technologies;
- become aware of the types of support available through global capacity-building initiatives.
This webinar will be particularly useful for policymakers responsible for cybercrime policies and legislation; representatives in charge of cooperation with LEAs; criminal justice practitioners; and representatives of the private sector.

The aim of this event is therefore to provide up-to-date information about the capacity-building initiatives currently being implemented by the OSCE and other international organizations in the area of cybercrime. The event will aslo constitute an important venue to ensure continued co-ordination at the international level as to avoid duplications, reinforce synergies and capitalize on previous as well as more recent experiences. It will also allow the OSCE participating States and Partners for Co-operation to ask, share ideas and raise issues that are relevant to the work of international organizations in this significant area.

Water and Cyber Security: Protection of Critical Water-Related Infrastructure, Part II
The online event "Water and Cyber Security - Protection of Critical Water-related Infrastructure, part II" will take place on Tuesday, 13 April 2021 at 14:00-17:00 (CEST). The event is organized by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Slovenia to UNOG in Geneva, the Permanent Mission of Israel to UNOG in Geneva, World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and Microsoft.
The meeting will bring together experts from different countries, international organizations and the private sector to explore enhancements on implementation of SDG6 and SDG16 of the Agenda 2030. It will reaffirm commitment to multilateralism in the area of new challenges regarding water. To face these challenges, we need a networked multilateralism, strengthening coordination among multilateral and regional organizations; and an inclusive multilateralism, based on deep interaction with civil society, businesses, local and regional authorities and other stakeholders. Participants will explore possible practical follow-up to facilitate the exchange of information and best practices, and to discuss the implications of international law.
