Summary
The project aimed to support Lebanese Government officials with expert-level knowledge on cybersecurity policy and technical cooperation in order to increase the level of cybersecurity in Lebanon. The participants learnt about Estonia’s e-governance system, consulted with relevant government officials, and visited private entities, which provide the technical backbone of cybersecurity in Estonia. Meetings focused on interstate cybersecurity strategies, international cooperation and policy-making, and cybercrime.
The project was funded through the TAIEX Program: the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument of the European Commission. More information here: https://ec.europa.eu/neighbourhood-enlargement/tenders/taiex_en
