Summary

This Project follows the execution of the projects « National CIRT Establishment in Kenya » Phase I,(ITU Project Number 9KEN12005) and «Enhanced Kenya CIRT/CC » Phase II and Phase III (9KEN15006), which were successfully implemented by ITU, and officially closed. The current Project is the fourth phase of the full implementation of the National KE-CIRT/CC in Kenya.

The objective of the Project is to assist Kenya in improving the capabilities of its National Computer Incident Response Team-Coordination Centre (National KE-CIRT/CC). With this assistance, previously established NCIRT will be further enhanced to serve as a trusted, central coordination point of contact for cybersecurity with reactive and proactive capabilities.

ITU will also assist Kenya in building and deploying the technical capabilities and related trainings necessary to enhance its national CIRT.
