ITU Workshop for Arab Regions on NCS and GCI

Summary

The Workshop took place in Gammarth, Republic of Tunisia, from 10-12 December 2019. This workshop was organized within the framework of the ITU Regional Initiative for Africa and Arab regions on Building confidence and Security in the use of telecommunications/information and communication technologies adopted by the ITU World Telecommunication Development Conference 2017 (WTDC-17), that amongst others aims at issuing policy guidelines, and elaboration or review of national cybersecurity strategies and sharing country and regional best practices and case studies. This workshop is designed to address mid to senior level management from policy makers, regulators, corporate executives and managers undertaking cybersecurity responsibilities in their respective organizations and especially cybersecurity officials in charge of drafting ICT national policies and strategies (including from the legislative perspective) as well as the representative of the entities in charge of implementation of such policies, legal frameworks and regulations.
