Aim

An overall objective of the ICEDA project is to increase the engagement of civil society organisations in the shaping and implementation of the Digital Agenda in the Western Balkans, or more specifically in North Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo.

Context

There are little knowledge and information in public about the Digital Agenda of the European Union. Therefore the ICEDA project is aiming to increase the engagement of the civil society organizations (CSOs) in the promotion, shaping, and implementation of the Digital Agenda in the Western Balkans.

Outcomes

Increasing Civic Engagement in the Digital Agenda – ICEDA, where 35mm became a partner and member of a regional network involving over 45 CSOs, 18 institutions and 20+ media outlets tackling Digital Agenda-related topics within the Western Balkans. 35mm in this sense is also directly influencing policies on a national and local level related to e-readiness and digital transformation, building expertise within the area on empowering citizens’ voices in digital space. Based on the developed Country Reports and Roadmaps for two years, the partners have issued a total of 143 national (22 in AL, 36 in KS, 24 in MNE, 32 in NMK, 29 in RS) and 24 regional level policy recommendations issued for advancing the DA in the WB targeted countries towards the relevant institutions and other stakeholders. Within the project, there have been 142 successful and 24 interventions in the process by the partners and sub-grantees (AL – 4 in the process; KS – 1 successful, 8 in the process; NMK – 27 successful, 7 in the process; MNE – 114 successful, 2 in the process; RS – 3 in the process) when it comes to policy change or e-service affected in each of the targeted WB countries. In total for both years, there have been 147 successful and 24 interventions in the process (AL – 4 in the process; KS – 1 successful, 8 in the process; NMK – 32 successful, 7 in the process; MNE – 114 successful, 2 in the process; RS – 3 in the process)
