Aim

A Feasibility Study on Cybersecurity in Guinea-Bissau was conducted with the primary objective of assessing the country’s cybersecurity landscape, including its legal and regulatory framework.

Context

The study evaluated the requirements for establishing key national cybersecurity infrastructures such as a Security Operations Center (SOC), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), Critical Information Infrastructure (CII), and a national cloud. Based on the findings, comprehensive tender documents were prepared. Additionally, a crucial component of the project involves the development of a National Cybersecurity Crisis Framework and the facilitation of stakeholder consultations to support the formulation of a National Cybersecurity Strategy.

Outcomes

The approval of a National Cybersecurity Strategy is critically important in a country with a relatively low level of cybersecurity maturity.
