Summary
The objective of this report is to support the planning of Nigeria’s next steps in cybersecurity readiness and strategy implementation through the following scope of activities: 1. Best practice recommendations on the strengthening of institutional, governance and regulatory functions for national cybersecurity in Nigeria for the ngCERT. 2. Assessment of and recommendations for the technical infrastructure for cybersecurity (hardware, software, platforms, applications) to strengthen the operational capacity and sustainability of the ngCERT. 3. Recommendations for standards and guidelines to improve operational sustainability of the ngCERT. 4. Recommendations for a 5-Year Capacity Building Plan (based on a Skills Gap Analysis) for the ngCERT, to strengthen the performance of its functions as mandated in the Cybersecurity Act and the Cybersecurity Policy.
