Details
Aim
This project aims at strengthening the awareness, capacity and technical capabilities of authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina by identifying and assessing domestic physical, technical and human resources for cybersecurity. In addition, functioning and cross-institutional coordination mechanisms should be established.
Context
Taking into account Bosnia and Herzegovina’s complex system of government, there is a lack of a holistic view of the challenge in cybercrime, digital government services and data protection. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s stated goal is to adopt a national cybersecurity strategy and to establish a national Cyber Emergency Response Teams, not least to engage in multilateral cooperation.
Outcomes
Together with actors from this region, UNDP creates a cybersecurity agenda and develops a regulatory and institutional framework from cybersecurity perspective to strengthen IT-infrastructure against cyber-attacks.
