Enabling and accelerating Digital Transformation is at the heart of ITU’s work on the African continent. Working in partnership is critical to advancing digital development as is bringing emerging technologies and digital solutions in areas such as education, health, and finance. This can only be achieved as a collective effort.

The Regional Office for Africa in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), established on 18 June 1992, represents the Union in Africa and provides assistance to the 44 Member States in the region. Its Area Offices in Dakar (Senegal), Harare (Zimbabwe) and Yaoundé (Cameroon) provide support and assistance for their respective geographical zone.
