EU Cyber Forum 2020 Panel: Global efforts to counter cybercrime

The EU Cyber Forum panel session on Global efforts to counter cybercrime: leveraging commonalities, bridging differences was chaired by Nayia Barmpaliou CHAIR Head of Public Policy and Initiatives, Centre for Cybersecurity, World Economic Forum. Panelists in order of appearance were Michael Daniel, President & CEO of the Cyber Threat Alliance (CTA); Olivier Onidi, Deputy Director General of the Directorate-General Migration and Home Affairs at the European Commission; Albert Antwi-Boasiako, National Cybersecurity Advisor, Ministry of Communications, Ghana; Alexander Seger, Head of Division, Cybercrime Programme Office, Council of Europe.

The EU Cyber Forum is a platform for promoting the European Union’s global engagement on cyber and digital issues. It provides an opportunity for the European Union to showcase its efforts and exchange good practices with other participating countries. Organised in cooperation with the European External Action Service, the European Commission, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity – ENISA, and the European Cybercrime Centre at Europol, the 2020 edition brought together over 600 individuals representing around 100 countries and different stakeholder communities.
