Review and Reform of Cyber Security and Cybercrime Legislation (Samoa)

Summary

Partnering with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Office of the Attorney-General (OAG) to strengthen Samoa’s cybercrime and cybersecurity capabilities.

The Cyber and Critical Tech Cooperation Program is assisting MCIT with cyber security training and public awareness and online safety campaigns. It is also supporting OAG with the review and reform of Samoa’s cybercrime legislation to align with the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime.

This partnership supports Australia’s objectives of stronger cybercrime prevention, prosecution and cooperation as well as a strong and resilient cyber security posture.

The project is part of the Cyber and Critical Tech Cooperation Program.
