Aim
The objective of this project was to assess, design, and oversee the deployment (implementation & delivery) of the Cyber Security Operations Center.
Context
The scope of the assignment aimed at implementation and monitoring of the industry’s cybersecurity policy & strategy by building and operationalizing a full-scale Cyber Security Operations Center in phases starting with an Information Sharing Platform for Incident Response and then phased deployment of a cyber defense platform.
Outcomes
This project
1.Developed the security operations center strategy.
2.Designed the proposed SOC solution to encompass the following among others
- Building out a SOC framework in line with the objectives stated in the background section.
- Preparing the environment.
- Phasing the implementation of an end-to-end solution.
- Maintenance and evolution of the solution.
- Process and Services (Automation, Readiness & Maturity Assessments, Advanced Reporting and Analytics)
- Training.
- Governance (Mandate, Roadmap, Strategy, Resource Structure).
- People (Training, Support, SOPs, Advisory)
3.Developing an indicative cost/budget for the project (phased).
