As cybersecurity has become a major issue on the global agenda, an increasing number of governments, international and regional organizations, private corporations and civil society actors are getting engaged in building cyber capacity around the world. However, the more actors get involved in the ecosystem the more challenging it becomes to understand who is doing what and where.
By mapping projects taking place around the world, Cybil offers the community an inventory to easily find past, ongoing and planned projects to be able to identify where and how actors are involved in the various activities. This contributes to a better understanding of the state of cyber capacity building and opens up opportunities for coordination and cooperation.

All projects are sent to the Research Lead in the GFCE Secretariat who reviews the data before sending approval to the Cybil Portal Manager to publish them on Cybil.
